History

The GLINK model was developed in 2017 by a group of experts in knowledge management and collaboration, including Arina Khramova, Arthur and Cat Shelley, Vadim Shiryaev, Vincent Ribieri, Madanmohan Rao, Olga Smirnova, Stuart French, Rajesh Dhillon, and Faiz Selamat.

The concept was inspired by earlier initiatives such as Creative Melbourne, Creative Bangkok, and FlashPoint.

The first GLINK event took place in Bangkok in 2017 with the support of KMGN.

Over time, the initiative expanded internationally, bringing together participants from multiple countries and regions.

During the pandemic period, activities moved online and led to the launch of the Global Virtual Collaboration Culture program.
